Garage Door Won T Open From Outside With Remote
My garage door remotes will not open door from the outside unless you are right in front of the door.
Garage door won t open from outside with remote. I have replaced the battery on reprogrammed the remotes with no luck. If the remote works from inside the garage but not from the outside then most likely the antenna wire on the garage door opener itself may be damaged broken or not in visible range. Press the button as you observe a small blinking red light on the box where the chain enters and exits. Both remotes will open door from inside garage as will wall switch.
If that doesn t work and you still have a nonworking remote you may want to have a professional examine it. If the door opens the problem is likely a worn out battery in your remote. Unplug the opener and disconnect the two wires from the motor reconnect your machine to power then clear its memory and reprogram all remote controls unplug the device for a second time and reconnect the control wiring to. Quickly test the quality of your opener s wiring by following these steps.
Check to be sure the antenna is attached and if it is not hanging down from the unit move the antenna so it can catch the beam being sent by the remote.
