Ge Electric Range Locked Door

As of summer 2013 with the exception of the cgs985 cgs990 and c2s985 the control lockout button locks out the oven controls only not the gas burners.

If the oven doesn t unlock press the self cleaning button again to restart the cycle. General electric profile ranges come with a self cleaning oven. Wait approximately 30 minutes for the oven to cool and try to unlock the door. When these quicker tips don t work set a short self cleaning cycle for 1 to 2 hours let the oven cool and try again.

Turning its circuit breaker off for several minutes and then on again may also work. See range oven door won t unlock. If this code is flashing in the display of your range or oven and the self clean cycle has not been selected. The door should unlock and there should not be a need for service.

This code appears when the door will not unlock after a self clean cycle.
