Ge Electric Range Oven Door Locked
Try the following to unlock the door.
Ge electric range oven door locked. 2 wait approximately 10 minutes and reapply power to the oven. Some models of the ge profile range have a motorized oven door lock while others have a manual lock.

We typically see an issue where the door won t unlock when a user has attempted a self clean cycle on their oven especially when the self clean feature is canceled before it is complete. 1 remove power to the oven unplug the oven from the power outlet or flip the circuit breaker for the oven.
When the error occurs the control panel s display screen will read locked and blink. The door lock is a safety feature to prevent burns. The door locks when the oven is hot and should unlock when the oven is cool. Wait approximately 30 minutes for the oven to cool and try to unlock the door.
While you hold the door jamb switch in this position complete the following steps. Push it in until the oven cavity light goes off indicating that the oven believes the door is closed. Press the clean pad wait 10 seconds. 4 slide the door locking lever on front of the oven if applicable or simply just open the door.
General electric profile ranges come with a self cleaning oven. Reconnect power and see if door will unlatch. Door will not unlock after self cleaning. Disconnect power to range for 30 seconds.
Turning its circuit breaker off for several minutes and then on again may also work. If door does not unlatch and you do not have food in the oven set the oven up to clean for 1 2 hours. It will look like a small black post or dowel. Pull gently to release the lock.
With the door open locate the door jamb switch on the face of the oven. On some electric profile ranges unplugging the device for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in may allow the door to unlock. If the oven door is still locked you may need to schedule a service appointment with ge factory service. This may take several tries.
