Ge Front Load Washer Wont Power Up Door Locked

Ge front load washer wont power up door locked. The pause can occur because of the following. If the washer was stopped before the cycle was complete. The system consists of a door mounted catch and a door lock mechanism located on the back of the front panel door shroud or main top. I tested the wax motor with an ohm meter and it appears to be ok.
Pull the lower panel out at the bottom and remove it. The lock mechanism consists of some switches and normally a lock unlock solenoid or wax motor solenoid. To unlock the washer controls press and hold the lock button for 10 seconds. A power failure or if it was put in the test mode at the factory.
The door should unlock. To manually unlock the door on this washer you first unplug the washer from the wall outlet and then remove the lower access panel. The control lock icon on the display will light up when it is on. You can unlock the unit by removing the three screws at the bottom front of the unit.
I show the symptoms. To determine if the door lock has failed electrically use a multimeter to test each of the door lock switches for continuity. Whatever the model if your machine is stuck in a cycle try to reset the ge washer first. I remove the door lock assembly and pulled the cover off.
Once the washer door is closed the washer can begin operating. If there is a pause in the washer cycle the controls will lock up. If the door lock is defective the washer door will not latch properly. Pull down on it and the door will open.
